A pair of wiggely eye shoes.
I saw a pair of Christain Louboutin shoes and fell in love, however the price tag was more than a bit off putting so I decided to make my own version.

Louboutins: £988.60

Mine:
Shoes: £4.99 (Salvation Army Charity Shop)
Wiggely Eyes: £2.40 (Wilkinsons, 80p a packet)
PVA Glue: £1.00 (Poundland)
Total:£8.39

Saving £980.21

Note: Time does not include drying time, I left mine to dry overnight.

  • How to embellish a pair of wiggly eye shoes. Wiggely Eye Shoes. - Step 1
    Step 1

Take a pair of plain black shoes in a style of your choice. I chose a plain court shoe because it was the cheapest pair I could find.

    Step 2

Then glue the eyes to the shoe however you like. I used PVA glue, but to make it a bit stronger you could use super-glue or something similar.

    Step 3

Once you've covered your shoe you need to leave it to dry.

And you're done. If you want them to look more like the Louboutins then you could also paint the sole red, but I prefered the black and white look.

Haha, great! I like yours better than the 'official' version, which just looks weird.
Maybe you could add clear varnish or even resin to make it rain proof?
Do the eyes stay on despite the bending of the shoe?

Thanks for the lovely comments. As for the rain, I haven't quite figured that out yet, so for now I just won't wear them in the rain.
