Cool down in the summer heat with a vodka watermelon shave ice
We first tried shave ice when we were in Hawaii and it was the perfect treat for cooling down in the the heat. This grown-up version is drizzled with homemade syrup infused with Twisted Melon vodka from ODDKA.

Step 1Bring the water and sugar to the boil, stirring until all the sugar has dissolved.

Step 2Take off the heat and add the vodka.

Step 3You can stir in a couple of drops of food colouring if you want to colour the shave ice.

Step 4Place a big chunk of ice in a blender.

Step 5Blitz until the ice is a fine snow-like powder.

Step 6Pour the ice into a cocktail glass.

Step 7Drizzle over a little of the watermelon syrup and serve.
