Hi! It's Lori from Choux Choux Paper Art. I've made a fun journal using washi tape binding. It's easy: Gather up some favorite papers, envelopes and miscellaneous ephemera. You could go for a theme such as travel or family. You'll also need washi tape, of course!
Mine is just a Hodge-Podge Journal and I'll decide later how to use it.

I started this journal by adhering the playing card to a doily with an orange washi tape.

Envelopes work really well. They can go in any direction and can still be easily opened.

The butterfly page is actually an envelope that has been sealed and then cut at one end with decorative scissors. It's also decorated with wide washi tape.

For interest, add different sizes of paper. Also, change up the washi: not only color, but this yellow striped paper has been bound with three small strips of washi, instead of one long piece.

TIP: If the washi tends to loosen (some of it does), just add a tiny dot of glue at the ends.

The most important thing? Put together papers that make you smile - put together things you love!
