About
Based on True Blue Crinkle Scarf by Tarri
I started with two 3x sleeveless hanes t'shirts.
I cut the bottom hem off of each shirt and until I find a use for those, they get put aside.
I began cutting the 2-ply strips from the bottom of the t-shirt. I made them range in size between 1/2in - 1 inch thick.
I quickly learned it was eaiser to double over the large shirt and have less area to cut with it folded in half.
I stopped cutting at the bottom of the armpit & I know I will use the rest of the shirt as a rag sometime.
I ended up with 18 Green strips and 19 Yellow strips.
After all strips were cut I decided to wash them in cold water and dry them on a regular setting, to cut down on the shedding of the shirt material.
They got a little wound up in the process but it was fairly easy to untangle them.
I think they turned out well.
