Step 1
ok to start you want to take some scrap fabric. mine was the last bit of skully i had its about 21in by 12in but you can make yours as big or as small as you want. i would stick to a rectangle shape though. keep in mind i made this so the top set of ribbon and the middle set of ribbon is the same length of my necklaces so that they are kept tight n wont kink.
ok all that in mind? good lay your two pieces of fabric wright sides together so your looking at the back of your fabric.
stitch along 3 edges and turn right side out and sew closed. now ive seen some people put some quilting batting in the middle n quilt this piece to give your jewelry some padding if you want to go for broke!

Step 2
ok now for the ribbon. you can pretty much change this up a bazilion different ways. but i just did the simple bit since i don't normally pack a whole crap-tun of jewelry around.
ok to make nice even slots in my ribbon i folded my piece in half and then folded again. so i have quarters. you could probably measure this... but i hate measuring. :P
now stick a pin in each corner of your fold just to mark your spot and unfold.

Step 3
now take a chunk of ribbon that's about 5 in longer than the width of your project and sew it on the edge of your piece. where the red arrow is on the right. then at the first quarter pin mark sew it again. just do a quick up and down over the space i have. don't cut the ribbon just sew it down. then at the half way mark sew again. make sure you don't twist your ribbon. then sew again the the last quarter mark.
now this last bit is for your rings and is optional.
you just leave the tail of your ribbon down and on the far left with the two arrows sew another chunk of ribbon thats about 5 in long. or long enough to tie the end up. so you can slide all your rings on the ribbon and then tie them up.now repeat the same bit for the middle row just sew all the way up at the end unless you want another ring area. again i made this the exact length of my necklaces. you can add more rows for different sized necklaces, or bracelets. the whole idea is that you link your jewelry threw the ribbons so they wont tangle.
for a variation you could use a one inch tube of fabric and a snap just to be more secure. but again i HATE making those little tubes all the turning makes me cross eyed.

Step 4
almost done now take a rectangle of tulle the width of your project and how ever high you want your pocket to come up, plus about 1/4 in seam alowance. mine is a third of my total length. i used tulle so that i could put the backs of my earnings threw it so they wont fall out. i would use sturdy wide holed tulle. (if that made since)
now i used a wider piece or ribbon here because i was sewing the tulle to the ribbon. i folded the tulle over to give it a hem so the stitches really held and sewed it to the ribbon at the top. then i folded for hem again and just top stitched it along the bottom and sides. don't stitch the top ribbon piece to your jewelry bag.
then i stitched a line down the center to give me two pockets one for bangles and one for earnings.

Step 5
last part is to sew about 10in of ribbon at the top. fold the ribbon in half and anchor the center to the top so you can just role it up from the bottom and tie the ribbon around it. and your done!
you can swap this up and change it any way you want for whatever jewelry you have and its perfect for traveling and when now in use it folds up small and neat!
