Top stitching gives a decorative finish and holds layers neatly in place. This is used for several projects, such as the Festival Flag.

You Will Need

Step 1With wrong side facing, press the seam to one side.

Step 2Fold right sides out and press to crease along the seam line.

Step 3Machine stitch along the edge close to the fold, sewing as straight and evenly as possible.
