This'll keep your keys safe! Just listen for the WOOSH, WOOSH!
I made this a while back for my friend for Christmas. It's a mini-TARDIS plushie keychain!

  • How to sew a fabric character charm. Tardis Keychain - Step 1
    Step 1

Cut out 4 rectangles of blue felt for the sides and two squares for the top and bottom. Also cut out 4 black smaller rectangles for the sides and 8 white squares for windows.

  • Step 2

Sew on the windows and doors as seen in the previous picture. I sewed on the POLICE BOX signs by making the letters, which actually turned out pretty well. I forgot to, but you can make the window pane details in black perle cotton.

    Step 3

Figure out which side you want to be the door of the TARDIS and make a little sign and white crest thingy to go below the windows. Oh, now looking at it, it appears I put the sign and the crest thingy on the wrong sides. Dang it.

  • Step 4

Sew the four sides together and then sew the bottom and top on. I whipstiched everything by hand and left the seam on the outside to help the TARDIS stay boxy, but you can do it however you like. Before you close it up, stuff it with just enough fiberfill to keep it full, but not enough to make it round. I'm sorry I don't have any pics but I already gave it away six months ago.

    Step 5

Sew the bead to the top and put a jump ring through the stitches. Then build up a chain out of jump rings and put a split ring through the last one. Tada! Now you can remember what that set of keys goes to even if the Silence get you!
