katie, i have the same problem, i think it happens no matter what. you have to mix a small amount of resin and paint it over the top with a paintbrush. when i do it to make sure it doesnt go crazy, dont put your bails on, lay the resin casts on some duct tape where the sticky part is on the bottoms of the jewelry and make sure it is really stuck on there, this will keep the resin from leaking under. i usually pull off a strip of tape and have them lined up on it and then paint the resin on...i hope this helps, i should be making some more probably within the next week and i'll def. make a tutorial for you

your stuff is awesome! ive been trying to make things with resin too but when i take it out the ice cube try its all frosty. how do you manage to get your resin looking so clear?
