Steampunk Tree Of Life Necklace

My take on a steampunk necklace without metal parts done for a swap
This is the tree of life wrapped around a gear with tiny roses. I did not have a clue what steampunk was before I started this swap lol but I am overly happy with the results. This is all made out of dark orangy fimo clay. I painted the clay three times with black, gold, and a coppery orange to get it to look metal. It took me almost week to get it to look alright so if anyone has any advice on how to use and paint clay, please comment. It would be greatly appreciated. I would love to learn more on this type of craft.
