Fun, and snappy area for all your sewing notions!
I had been looking around for a place to put all my sewing notions rather than jumbled into a jar...and I couldn't find anything I liked - That is until I saw this fabulous suitcase in a thrift store for $1.50! I washed and dried it out and used some fabric that I already had. I actually just covered it like you would cover a present and then I used a staple gun to fasten the fabric onto the case. I covered the staples with additional fabric, but one could use anything to dress up an old case like this, buttons, ribbon, paper, stickers, etc.! I also made a coordinating pin cushion with a cup I found for 10 cents (that idea came from this website!).

I'm actually not that into pink and green...okay, yes I am.

I love this idea. I actually have a bag just like this one somewhere. I got it brand new in 1968. Now I know what to do with it.

That looks really great. I just sold a suitcase like that (only it was super ugly) at a yard sale I had. If I had seen what you'd done with yours I might have been tempted to keep it and recover it like you did.

I have the same type of suitcase that was my grandma's. I kept it in hopes of making it a case for my sewing notions also. It's great!
