this diy was inspired by another blogger… the lovely kathleen of Inspirafashion. she asked me how to make a scalloped hem short/skirt and i liked the result so much I thought I’d share with you all. thanks for the request… such an adorable idea! hope you enjoy! :)

You Will Need
-
Step 1Create scallop template cut out.
-
Step 2Trace template using tailors chalk (disappears w/ steam) on both front and back sides.
-
Step 3Using sewing machine, sew a very fine zig zag stitch and follow traced scalloped line.
-
Step 4Cut below zig zag stitch and you have a scalloped hem skit.

I wish this would work for me but my machine refuses to do a steady zigzag--always comes out looking Tim Burtonish! I would have to just satin stitch by hand
