Rockabilly Monkey Birthday Cakes

Make a cake for the cheeky monkey in your life!
My boyfriend and his friend Meghann both turned 30 this year, so a bunch of us threw them a surprise birthday party. I was on cake making detail, so aside from the 100 and something cupcakes myself and my mom made for the party, I also made them an individual mini cake each.
Meghann really loves monkies and Gar is greaser who loves Elvis. So I decided to make them both little monkey cakes. Meghann got a rockabilly girl monkey with puckered lips (made from a glacé cherry cut in half) and fancy little flower. Gar got Elvis monkey, with winking blue eyes, because Gar's eyes are blue. They were both really delighted with their cakes. :)
