You Will Need

Step 1Apply spray glue to a square piece of scrap wood and immediately pour on before glue dries. Shake off excess once the board has fully dried

Step 2Measure the board and Create a square stencil to spray on black squares.

Step 3Draw chess piece symbols onto dark and light colored rocks, use larger rocks for kings, queens, knights and smaller rocks for pawns.
Options + Ideas
Rocks can also be spray painted if dark and light colored rocks are hard to find
