A new twist on cables
If you've been knitting for a while, you know that cables are one of those really popular techniques that look hard to do, but are actually pretty basic. But what if there was an easier, simpler, cuter, tinier way to make cables?

This is my new tutorial where I teach you a technique called the "right-twist." It's super easy, and you can test it out yourself with my Right Twist Scarf pattern!

  • How to knit . Knitting Technique - Right Twist - Step 1
    Step 1

    This technique works best in a 2x2 ribbing pattern.

  • How to knit . Knitting Technique - Right Twist - Step 2
    Step 2

    Do a knit 2 together without taking the stitches off of the needle.

  • How to knit . Knitting Technique - Right Twist - Step 3
    Step 3

    Knit back into the first stitch of your k2tog.

  • How to knit . Knitting Technique - Right Twist - Step 4
    Step 4

    You've created another stitch! Hurray! You can now pull off the original 2 stitches and continue knitting.

  • How to knit . Knitting Technique - Right Twist - Step 5
    Step 5

    Repeat the process on your knit stitches for the whole row! :)
