Rice Krispie Treats...on a stick... with chocolate!!!
A fun twist on rice krispie treats with endless possibilities for personalizing for special occasions!
**FYI all the pictures are of my own creation EXCEPT the photo of the finished product. My camera diddnt save the photo right and the evidence was long gone before i realized. I borrowed that picture from an Eckerts website.

Step 1Gather your Ingredients.
You will also need a pot or bowl to cook in, a pan and parchment paper.

Step 2Prepare your rice krispies mix using the directions on the box and your preferred method of heating.
**If you happen to live somewhere that krispie treat recipies are not on every box of cereal on the shelf consult the rice krispie website.

Step 3Normally you would form your treats in a deep casserole type dish, for this project a shallower dish is better. I used a baking pan with short sides.

Step 4Press the Rice Krispies into the pan using a piece of parchment paper. You will want to "pack down" the cereal more than you would normally to help it hold together on the stick... you can see on the left side of the pan ive pressed down more than on the right side...its okay if it crushes some of the cereal.

Step 5Make sure you use parchment paper...or wax paper if thats all you have... if you try to use a spoon, spatula or your bare hand your going to have a giant mess!

Step 6If you are using skewers and not rounded ice cream sticks then you will need to cut the sharp bits off. Its better to use a sharp pair of snips, as a knife will leave alot of splintered edges...but be careful, the snips will make the end cut bits fly off.
I was using long grill skewers so i cut mine in half also. -
Step 7Cut your treats into the shape you want and seperate them out so they will dry a little on the edges. Wait till they are completely cool, push your stick into the end and decorate!!
Follow the directions on the package for melting the chocolate or other coating as each type is a little different.

Step 8Last step: NOM!!!!!
(oh yeah..and a little clean up!)
*Store in an air tight container in the fridge. if you have decorated both sides of your pop you can turn the cereal box sideways and make little slits to stand your pops up in while they dry.

Too bad they don't sell any Rice Crispies in my country :C
But I think I can use some different rice cerial for those!
