About
Here's an easy peasy way to jazz up a thrift store frame with upcycled CDs.
Upcycle old CDs by creating a mosaic on a boring frame easily. This DIY creates a bit of crafty chaos but it's definitely worth the time, effort and mess!

Step 3
Once you have a pile of CD pieces, you're ready to glue them to the surface of the frame. First clean the surface of the frame then start adding the pieces in one corner then work your way around the frame. Add E-6000 to the surface then add the pieces.
Note: use a variety of CDs - they have different colours. The different colours will work well for the mosaic.

Step 6
Once you've added the CD pieces, allow the glue to dry. Next cover the surface with white craft paint. This looks like a plaster finish.
Allow to dry then scrub the surface gently with a wet cloth. This will remove the paint from the CD pieces and leave it in the crevices between the pieces. Rub the surface until you're happy with the finish.
