Pimp your old chair by giving it new upholstery
Got this old chair and some pale pink velvet from my boyfriends dad. Thought about letting a professional reupholster it, but then decided to do it myself.

You Will Need

Step 1Take an old chair.

Step 2Remove seat cushion.

Step 3Flip around...

Step 4..and remove old nails

Step 5and old fabric.

Step 6Keep the old stuffing (unless you're up to some more work).

Step 7place seat cushion on the new fabric

Step 8Cut fabric - the new upholstery should be a bit bigger than the old so allow a couple of extra centimeters

Step 9Drape the fabric around the seat. Make sure there's excess fabric on all sides and in the corner

Step 10When hammering the nails the fabric should be tightly draped around the seat to avoid creases.

Step 11Almost finished.

Step 12Cut off excess fabric.

Step 13Almost done.
-
Step 14Flip around.

Step 15Place on chair.

Step 16Admire your new chair.
