The perfect memento for any Quake lover in your life
Last year at Quake Con everything was so rushed that I didn’t really get the chance to do anything special for any of the amazing people that I met, so I thought that I would rectify that this time around. This project was ridiculously easy and came out looking super awesome. I think it will for sure be well received, not to mention it’s the perfect memento for Quake Con for any true fan.

  • How to paint a painting. Quake Logo Painting - Step 1
    Step 1

Paint your tiny canvas black. This party isn’t particularly sexy or exciting, but very important.

    Step 2

I made my own stencil by printing out a picture of the Quake Con logo large enough for the canvas and cutting the logo itself out, then I lined everything up and secured it with scrapbooking glue dots. That way it wouldn’t move around when I painted.

Then I painted in the logo with orange. It took me three coats to get the opacity I was looking for.

Then just peel off the paper stencil, the glue dots should come up with the paper, and you’re done! There are some small imperfections but the logo itself is imperfect so I don’t feel so bad.
