Step 1Gather your materials.
I found this bottle that has no waves or other shapes. You can use plastic from packaging or any other rigid plastic that won`t break if bended.

Step 2Start by taping the clear plastic, outer side down ,to the butterfly design of your choice.
Freehand the design if you`d like.
Begin only filling the colors that will show first.
Tip: dont rub the paint and do two or three coats to prevent from showing the black paint.

Step 3Once your butterfly has all its colors on its wings, fill the whole drawing with black acrylic paint.
Do two coats and let dry. -
Step 4Finally cut the shape being careful with the antenna.
Fold in half good sides inside, the curvarture of the bottle will help with the wings and the shape.
Lastly, fill any spaces with black paint if needed and add a coat of modgepodge or any other type of protective glue.

Step 5Ta-da!
Use them as props, glue them on a clip for a hair piece, make a butterfly display for a sience project, and ENJOY!
