    Measure pieces of trim and ribbon that are twice the width of the skirt, adding an extra 2 in (5 cm) to both ends.

    Add a thin line of fabric glue across the skirt.

    Place the trim on the glue, and press lightly. repeat with the remaining trims.

    Repeat on the reverse side and trim the excess, leaving just enough to connect to the front side.

    Apply liquid seam sealant and/or fabric glue to the ends.

    Tip: Depending on the type of trim, a few stitches can be used to join the ends together.
