Step 1
I purchased an inexpensive outdoor rug from Home Depot. Tape off the design using painter's tape and cover the areas that will not be painted with newspaper. I used black Rust-oleum spray paint on the rug for the design.
Step 2
Once dry, remove the painter's tape and you are ready to use it!
