Paint dip soup cans to get a vintage, industrial look for cheap
Add some paint, and maybe even that vintage splatter paint texture to soup cans and use them for all kinds of storage. I used mine to keep our garden herbs warm over the winter.

If you'd like to use them for planters, punch holes in the bottom of the smaller cans, which will be placed inside the larger cans.

Apply several coats of craft paint to the the top and bottom section of the soup cans and let dry. Add a touch of the speckled look by dipping a small plastic comb into a different color of craft paint, pull back on the teeth of the comb and let the paint splatter. Spray with a clear coat if desired and remove painters tape.
