An orange & basil take on the Negroni Swizzle
Place the basil leaves in the bottom of a tall glass and smash with a muddler or a long spoon.
Add some ice.
Add the gin and vermouth.
Cut a small swirl from the orange peel and place to one side.
Squeeze the juice from the orange into the drink.
Top with soda water.
Holding the orange swirl above the glass, gently burn it with a lighter for a few seconds before dropping it into the drink.
