A cute soft blanket - it's quick and easy!
Here are the instructions I used to make this cute blanket for my friend's baby for Christmas.
I've now added photos of blankets I made for other babies and a large one I made for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day.

I have one of these I love it. My grandma gave it to me for Christmas, The back is purple and the front is the little mermaid. I have a pillow to match.

Thanks for the comment KMOM14!
I was not only surprised how easy it was but how FAST - 1 hour!
One thing I will mention though, wrinkles do NOT come out of fleece easily so don't do what I did which is buy the end of the roll - the lines where it was against the cardboard didn't come out when I ironed it and I was afraid to go any hotter for fear of wreaking the fabric!

This is a great project for grade school kids (or older) to make something to welcome a new sibling to the family.

All they need to be able to do is to the the fabric around the edges (to make it uniform, the parent could baste around the edges to the line where the child needs to stop cutting)and tie both pieces of fleece together at the edges on all size.

These also make great lap blankets when you are on the couch watching TV or reading a book, or even an extra layer on top of your blankets in bed as they keep you very warm and toasty.
