Create this cute felt headband without needing to touch a needle and thread
This project was actually inspired by one of my other projects! My Geometric felt artwork used these same triangles. I loved the pattern they made when they sat on top of each other so I just couldn't resist making a cute little headband with them too. :)

  • How to make a fabric headband. No Sew Felt Headband - Step 1
    Step 1

Create a triangle template from a piece of thick card.
Trace around your template with a pencil. Using a template makes this project so much easier because it means you know all of your triangles will be the same size and shape.

Cut out a bunch of triangles in each of the colours you want to use in your artwork.

    Step 2

Apply a small amount of glue (needs to be a nice strong, clear glue) to the top section of your second triangle and stick it to the top of the first.
Continue this process until you have a long line of triangles.

Use your glue to attach a piece of elastic to either end of the headband.
How much elastic do you use?
Place the triangles over your head where they would sit at a finished headband. Measure from one end of the triangles to the other going around the back of your head. That's how much you will need!
If you are making it for a friend and not sure how much elastic you should use you could always use two pieces of ribbon that can be tied at the back as an alternative.

All done! Try it on, make sure it fits and you are good to go! Cute right. :)
