About
A cute little headband for game day.
I am not, nor have I ever been, a fan of the Nebraska Huskers. I’ve never been a fan of any sport, college or otherwise, and if I were to care less about sports I would probably be devoid of a pulse. They are not my thing, but my friend Jess is dating a Nebraska Huskers fan who has dragged her to more than a few games so she thought it was time she repped some team pride. I think it’s adorable.

You Will Need

Step 1
Start off by cutting a long rectangle of tulle and using your thread to make long stitches on one side of it. Then pull your thread so that all of your stitches will gather together and you will end up with a shape like this. The more fabric/tulle you use the more circular your shape will be. I technically use two rectangles of tulle so that I get more fullness. Sew into your center to make sure that everything is secure and then fasten off.

Step 2
Secure your tulle to the headband with some glue and begin to embellish. Jess also got some buttons, not unlike the black ones I used in my headband, so we started there. This is a great way to hide any bumps or imperfections, as well as your thread, in the middle of your little bunch of tulle. After this everything else is up to your discretion and personal taste.

Step 3
Clearly Jessica’s tastes are akin to those of an eight grader, because I originally went to put on one bow and she told me that it needed more bows, so I ended up using four. All you have to do is use a little bit of glue to secure the bows to the bottom layer of tulle so you get the cool effect of looking at them through the tulle.
