My ver first dread install ever. Selfmade. Crappy but adorable.
Gather the thickest wool you can get your hands on and go CRAZY!

Well, actually, before you do that, carefully braid in two strands ( I made the yarn pieces so I could use them like DE dreads ), preferably on your lower hairline on your neck cause that's where your skin is really sensitive. Leave these two in for -at least- 24 hours to rule out allergies. I had one, I promise it's not funny.

The backside of my head is actually pretty fucked up. xD I'm going to redo those as soon as I got a second skein. I just bought one to try it out and it was exact the amout I needed for crappy. Nice is gonna cost a skein more. Thinner sections and stuff.

The advantage of wool is that it's not too heavy. Disadvantages may be a sheepy smell when wet or the mentioned possibillity of allergies.
