Making The Mustache.

• Step 1

  Okay. So first you have to cut out the material. This bag is reversible so I'm going to call the material that the mustache side goes on the mustache material.

  Pieces you will need:
  -2 squares of the mustache material. This will be the pouch. I chose to make it 17" by 17" You may do what ever your heart desires as long as it's a square.
  -2 square pieces of liner material. Same size.
  -2 really long pieces in both the mustached material and the liner. These will me the strap so the length can be what ever you want. The width should be five inches.
  -2 pieces in both material. Start with a rectangle that is 14" by 10" This may be different depending on what size you decided to make the pound. I rounded off the top but you can keep it square.

  You'll also need some black material for the mustache.
  Measurements may not be exact. (Sorry)

• Step 2

  So take the four squares that make up the pouch and arrange them the way the will be when the bag is together. Good sides of the lining touching and the mustache material on the outside, good side facing out.

  Time to shape the bag! Okay. I cut out a rectangle at the top, center that was about 14" by 5".

• Step 3

  So now take the lining. Pin and sew along the sides but do not sew the bottom just yet. So the same with the mustache material.

• Step 4

  Now it's mustache time! First take your black material (Note: the mustache may be whatever color makes you happy) You need to cut out a mustache. Two actually. Well I used two because my material was too thin.

  Then you take thread. I chose white thread. Make a bold stitch all along the edges.

• Step 5

  For the eyes you can use white and black fabric paint. Or you can use felt.

  If you use felt. Cut out four oval pieces in both colors. Arrange them overlapping a little as seen in the picture. I used hot glue to keep them together.

  Then I sewed on a button as the pupil.

• Step 6

  Okay so take out the mustache material for the flap thing and your face pieces. Arrange them as so on the material and sew them on. Awesome.

• Step 7

  Now take the lining material. Place good side and mustache side together. Pin and sew.

  Now grab the pieces for the strap and an iron.

  Lay the straps out and from both of the long sides fold the material in an inch. Iron i, so it stays down. Place the pieces together and sew down the edges.

• Step 8

  Time for assembly. This is going to be SO confusing. So start by connecting the rim of the bags. I turned the bag inside out and sewed along the rim.

  But wait! before you sew that you have to put the flap with the mustache on. Place it in there and then sew. Cut off excess and then turn the bag back to normal.

• Step 9

  Now you can sew the bottom of the pouch part. Once you're done with that use the holes were the straps will go to turn the bag rights side out.

  Insert the straps and sew... now I think you've finished the bag.
