Repair and personalise a broken crochet hook and love your craft again!
I had a crochet hook with a broken end that stabbed me every time I tried to use it, I also had some sugru to test out and I decided to see if I could combine the two. Turns out I could and now I have a crochet hook that not only doesn't cause me injury it looks pretty too! You could use this tutorial on a non broken hook just to pretty it up.

You Will Need

Step 1Warm up the sugru in your hands.

Step 2Roll it into a sausage with two fat ends, do this by rolling with one finger in the middle of the sausage.

Step 3Fold the sausage in half to make your heart shape.

Step 4Smooth out the shape with your fingers.

Step 5If you like, add some glitter, just sprinkle on and press gently into the surface.

Step 6Stick the broken end of the crochet hook into the sugru. Or, if you're just doing it for decoration just push the non-hook end into the sugru.

Step 7I added a little start sequin to finish it off...

Step 8Leave to cure for 24 hours then hook to your hearts content with your lovely refurbished hook
