A bag fit for a King
My favourite project.
I must admit, it's not my original idea, I actually took the design from a bag I saw by Kate Garey and loved. Here is the link: http://www.kategarey.com/page3.htm

  • Step 1

Cut a semi circle template according to how big you want your bag. Then cut 2 from your lining material and two from your outside material.

  • Step 2

Cut out your felt shapes and embroider till you feel good. It took me alot of embroidery.

  • Step 3

Sew the shapes onto one of your outside pieces.

  • Step 4

    Interface all pieces

  • Step 5

Put the outside pieces (Right Sides together) and sew around sides and bottom. Do the same for the lining pieces

  • Step 6

I forgot to tell you to make the handle for your bag...I wanted mine nice and long so I cut 2 47" long rectangles (& about 3" wide) then I put them right sides together and sewed all the way round but LEAVING A GAP then I turned it right side out via the gap. I then topstitched all the way round the edge and added ribbon for decoration

  • Step 7

Now...put the lining 'bag' inside the outer 'bag' so that the wrong sides are together. form seams around the rim so that it's all nice, neat and good. Attach the handles sandwiched in between the outside material and the lining material. Pin everything in place and sew all the way round the rim. I think that's everything.
