Lavender mist to help insomnia
When I can't sleep I spray my pillow with lavender mist. Although this takes 2-3 days you only spend at most 5 hours actually doing something.

BTW I have dyslexia so if a word is spelt wrong im sorry. Your'll have to try and guess.

  • Step 1

Pick some lavender either from your garden or with permission from someone elses.

  • Step 2

Remove the flowers and the buds. Crush them slightly either in a mortle and pestle or with a rolling pin and a plastic bag.

  • Step 3

Boil the desired amount of water, pour into a jar or bowl (NOTE: this will smell and taste of lavender for a while so use something recycled e.g. jar)

  • Step 4

Add the flowers and buds to the water and leave over night.

(NOTE: this will smell and taste of lavender for a while so use something recycled e.g. jar)

  • Step 5

Repeat steps 1-now as required to make it smell as strong as you want. Subtle would just be done once but really strong 2-3 times.

  • Step 6

To repeat: strain the water after 24 hours, put the used flowers and buds at the base of the lavender plant so that they can be a used again by the plant.
If you can re-heat the water (bearing in mind this two will smell after) and add new flowers and buds. leave again for 24 hours.

  • Step 7

Strain the final solution and put in a spray bottle for best dispersal.

I've been looking for a decent lavender spray recipe for ages! this is the first I've found that doesn't involve alcohol and/or lavender oil. Thanks so much!
