You Will Need
Small amount of white
Sugarpaste
for the ends of the knitting needles
Candy Sticks
from sweet shops
White
Frosting
Food Coloring
: I used yellow, green and blue to match the cases, but choose your own colours
At least seven
Cupcakes
(can be domed or flat)
Piping Bag

Plain
Piping Tube
No. 3 or No. 4

Step 1
Mix your chosen colours into the white frosting and place each in a piping bag fitted with a plain piping tube.

Step 2
Pipe straight lines across each cake as shown, to look like loosely rolled balls of wool.

Step 3
Pipe a spiral line down one of the candy sticks and push the end of the stick into one of the cupcakes.

Step 4
Continue piping loops in rows along the stick to look like knitting.

Step 5
Push the other candy stick into the same cupcake.
