blank journal with decorative designed cover
I made this journal cover for a swap on another website and I am in love with it! Hopefully whoever receives it does too!

The background is a decorated file folder that I cut in half for each side. Then i printed out some images on glossy paper and cut them out carefully. I embellished with some stamps, gems, buttons, beads, permanent marker, decorative papers, stamps, ribbon, etc. Once I had everything glued to the precut/measured file folder I glued it to the actual covers of the journal. I used some of those office clamps to hold down the covers while the glue was drying.

Then I made a cute little inside pocket using some stronger paper.

I put alot of time into the journal and deciding on the layout and where to put some extra jazzy gems and what not so it took me a little while to complete! I had everything except the book so this project cost me very little!!

I lovee love love making journals <3
