Stretch Kimono Dress with Fringe Sleeves
I had been wanting to make this dress for quite a while and I had some brown jersey knit fabric that I got for next to nothing in the bargain center at fabricland. This is one of the simplest dresses I've made myself yet one of my favorites. It took about an hour to make and that was going quite slowly. Have fun!

    Step 1

Fold desired length of fabric in half and sew up the arm seams to where they'll meet the body.

    Step 2

Cut out the neck hole. A facing will make this look a lot nicer if you want to take the time, though binding works as well. Interfacing is a must or it will get all out of shape when you wear it.

    Step 3

Cut as many slash lines up to the sleeve seam as you like depending how thick or thin you want the fringe to be.

Turn inside out and sew up the side seams right sides together.

  • Step 5

If you're using a jersey knit it does not need to be hemmed because it will not fray, though if you're using something else or just choose to, you can hem the bottom as well as the sleeves.

That's all! Simple. Hope you enjoyed :)
