Pom poms are the adorable little balls of wool you can use with many craft projects. They can be made as big, or as small as you like and in any colour wool you can get your hands on! Add them to cushions, make garlands or make decorations with them!

Step 1
Note: When making pom poms, the outer ring of your template is the approximate diameter of the finished pom pom. So make your template on the basis of what size you want your pom poms to be.
- cut out two templates based on the note above.
- overlap the templates.
Step 2
- cut a length of wool & wrap around the template until it proves difficult to wrap any more around. Tip: cut several lengths of wool to wrap around at the same time to speed up the process.
- poke your scissors through the wool in between the two templates, go around the template, cutting all the strands of wool.
Step 3
- tightly tie another piece of wool around the middle, in-between the templates.
- slowly pull the templates away from the wool, if it's really tight you might have to tear the template off.
- the pom pom might look a little scruffy, so trim the edges into a nice sphere.
