  Step 1

  Cut templates
  Cut a paper of isosceles triangle whose length of sides are according to the length of the umbrella stand and length of base is dependent on the interval of the umbrella stand. Place a round thing at the middle of the triangle, trace along the edge of it. Cut the paper according to the line, we can get a sector and an irregular figure. Fold the irregular figure in half. Two templates are done.

  Step 2

  Cut cloths
  Cut out several cloths with different patterns by tracing the sector template on them. Cut out several plain cloths by tracing the other template on them. The numbers of them are on the basis of how many intervals the umbrella stand has.

  Step 3

  Sew an umbrella fabric
  Sew a lace trim along the longest side of an irregular cloth; seam the sector cloth with it. Repeat to sew other cloths. Sew two sides of every cloth together to link them.

  Step 4

  Take the umbrella stand, place the fabric on it and fix the top of it as the picture shows. Sew the ribs with the fabric. Sew a lace trim and a wooden button outside the fabric; sew one side of the lace as a circle for the convenience of tying the umbrella. A fabric umbrella is completed.

When you use your own umbrella, how do you get the end off the frame so you can put the new fabric on it and still seal it back up?
