Make your pictures pop!
Have you ever saw a photo that has hints of color and black and white and wondered how to do it? Its quite easy to make and with simple steps I will show you how.

This method of selective color can be used in Photoshop or other free editors.

  • Step 1

Open your photo in your editing program.

  • Step 2

Go to Layer - Duplicate Layer, click okay.

  • Step 3

Go to Image - Adjustments - Hue / Saturation.

  • Step 4

Slide the Saturation slider all the way to the left, the photo will become black and white. Click okay. Just hover your mouse over the tool, and it will say Eraser. You can change the size as needed. I like to choose the brush with some fuzz around it because it looks more natural.

  • Step 5

When you have selected the Eraser, go up to the Brush options box at the top of the screen, and click on the down facing arrow. Set the Hardness of the brush to 100% so you will have accurate control of selection.

  • Step 6

Erase away any black and white from where you want the color to be revealed. When done go to Layer - Flatten Image. Save image.
