    Step 1

    Make a template of the shape you want out of a piece of cardboard.

    Place your shape in the center of your wall, just above eye level and make sure that it is level and plumb. Trace it with a metallic sharpie going slowly.

    Line up your template with the first shape you just drew, and check that it is level and plumb. Trace again, and repeat until you have filled the wall as much as you can.

    Make a separate template to piece together the edges where your shape template won't lay flat against the wall due to the ceiling getting in the way.
