deliciously terrifying Halloween treats..
I made these cakes for the kids on Halloween but you can use the recipe and idea and swap the colours and jelly shapes for different ones for other themes..
For the cakes I used my basic fairy cake recipe (see my pretty fairy cake project) but feel free to buy some if your not a Nigella or use your own recipe.
For the frosting I use half butter and half icing sugar and drops of food die till you create your desired colour.

Step 1
Place a dollop of frosting in the centre of the cake using I knife drag the frosting round the cake to create a swirl.

Place a gummy sweet in the centre of the cake.

Decorate the edge of the cake with edible cake decorations. I like the coloured sugar ball you can pick up in any supermarket.

display on a pretty plate or nice stand and be prepared to blush as the complements to come flooding in!
