Funky Star Cushion

Ok this was my 1st attempt at anything like this ever!
I found this on a google search and just had to give it a go, to be honest I thought it was going to be a breeze (how wrong was I?!) although to be fair I am a complete novice to sewing and I soon abandoned the sewing machine in favour of hand stitching which was surprisingly relaxing! Anyway the picture above was my 2nd attempt but totally my own work I do not however take any credit for the inspiration nor technique as you will see the link is the web address for instructions, patterns and a how-to video on making a star cushion.
