An easy way to spice up a pair of heels
So I had this cute idea for a pair of "faux" Christian Louboutins. For anyone who's heard of him, every one of his shoe designs has red soles, it's his signature. They're also verrrry expensive, too expensive for a college kid like me! So this is my alternative. I took red acrylic paint and painted the bottoms with two coats of that, being very careful around the edges (I bet painter's tape would work if you're worried about messing up on the edges, but I didn't have any on hand). Wait a few hours in-between coats. According to the bottle, the paint should dry for 21 days before actually using the item.
I am thinking I might also put a clear glossy coat over it to make them a little shiny. The acrylic paint on the bottom of the shoes will probably eventually wear off from walking, but the cutest part of it is that the inside of the heel part is bright red too :)
