Om Gnome Gnome!
A Father's Day gift made way back in March (I got prepared early). My Dad fears me getting him gnomes after a joke from my childhood, so of course I use any opportunity to include a gnome with a present. The pattern is largely in one piece (the body is all one ball done with lots of colour changes). This is one of my first self designed patterns and is cross posted to my blog at http://amiguruthi.tumblr.com/post/25296404648/fatgnome

Create fringe in white however you prefer or use the technique below.

    1: CH1
2: Rest your chain on the thin edge of the cardboard
3: YO going around the cardboard.
    4: CH1
Repeat until you have enough fringe to run around ¾ of your hat brim TWICE (approx 7”-8”). Finish off and slip off the card.

Sew fringe around ¾ of the brim of the hat.

Sew a stitch of peach wool to beard (creates a mouth).

Sew hands and feet in place.

Sew a belt buckle in yellow.

Sew black eyes using embroidery thread.

Optional - add a loop of wool to the point of the hat for hanging.
