About
Easy to make and incredibly warm :)
Last week I was hospitalised after my ankle got more sore by the day and I was in so much pain that I didn't know what was up or down any more. Apparently during a surgery 2 weeks ago in which they repaired the bone, I caught an infection in the joint and that caused the pain.
Anyway, I found a new hobby to pass time: crocheting! So I first started this hooded scarf. It was something that I always wanted to have (and never realised it existed and more people had it) so this was my chance. It took me a bit longer than what it usually takes, but that was because I fell asleep most of the time.
Sorry for the crappy picture, it was taken in the hospital by a fellow patient with the mobile phone. But you get the idea.

Step 1
I followed a pattern that can be found in the link above. But the idea is really simple. You first make the scarf and then later start adding a square/rectangle in the middle of the scarf. This is folded in half, at the top, and sewn together to form the hood. In the image, sew the red onto the blue part. It might sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is, but it really isn't.
I used a very furry yarn, so you can't see the crocheting in the finished work. But of course you can use any yarn you like!
