Turn an old towel into a comfy sleep spot for your pet!
What cat doesn't love towels, especially warm ones? Mine do so much that they chose one to make their permanent warm snuggy spot. Good thing it has a bleach stain on it! So I figured since the towel is already ugly, and the cats like it, why not make them a real pet bed.
This project was free for me, since I used materials on hand, including old t-shirts for the bedding.

    Step 3

Shred your t-shirts. I used four t-shirts for one bed. First cut into long strips. If you have a rotary cutter, this will be easy. No need for a ruler, just cut!

You can use scissors for this too.

Stitch the opening by hand with a whip stitch. Toss in the dryer to warm a little. Not too long after I made this, my cats came over and had a nap on their new beds, instead of on my legs!.

That's ok. Try putting it in a sunny spot.
They'll love it! Soft comfy bed AND warm sun!

I think my cats would love this in winter. Especially our smallest one, Lina. I do not have a dryer though...

Jet, Please let me know how the beds work for you when you make them! I hope they work better than the water bottles.

wooow what a great idea of yours!!! i always use a bathing towel that i folded and trow in the microweave, and afterwards it will go by the laundry;-D
but this is i think much better, i used too a lot of heating water bottles for when they must travel outside on my leap but i'm always afraid of leaking by their sharp paws.
so i will make some of them too, thank you very much of your sharing and the greate tute.
Your cats will be love you.;-D
