Easy Peasy Steam Punk Locket
Steampunk creations have really caught my eyes lately and I found myself musing on what to do when I took apart a pocket watch (hit up thrift stores for 5 buck used offerings)and was left with just the pretty case. Well, simply take your favorite picture or photograph- what ever you like and glue/tape it to the inside. The watch's clasp can then be strung on chain or ribbon or really what ever peaks your fancy.

I should mention, the best way to pry the watches open is a razor blade or box cutter. They fit well between the halves. After the watch-shucking, little screw drivers and phillips are great at removing the small pins that keep the fly wheels and cog wheels in place. I recommend a tray to work in, because little pieces can become aerial some times. Happy shelling!
