Cook at 180°c for about 50 mn. Test by pushing a knife in the cake. It must come out clean.

When the cake is cooked, take it out of the oven and let cool on a rack. You can garnish it with apricot jam or chocolate ganache.

    Cover it with ganache.

    Step 3

To decorate the cake, just use what you have at home. For my cake, I first cut rounded paper strips to delimit different parts of the cake.
The first one was decorated only with powder icing sugar. For the second strip I used fine almonds powder and white almond paste

The third zone was decorated with chocolate chips obtained by grating a chocolate piece with a knife and almond paste.
The fourth strip was decorated using coarse almond powder (actually I sifted powder almond to get fine powder and coarse powder).

The fifth strip was made in the same way than the first.
The separation between zones was made with ribbons of almond paste.
