  Step 1

  Gather your materials: a sheet of felt, a needle and thread, scissors, pins and a button. It's also handy to have your own cell phone on hand to use as the template.

  Step 2

  Cut out the shape of the case using ruler or your cell phone as the outline. Make sure it's just a tad bigger on the sides (enough so they can be sewn together) and a big enough flap on top.

  Step 3

  Start sewing the sides.

  Step 4

  I went all around the edges to give it a cohesive look.

• 

  Step 5

  Don't forget to add a button and cut a buttonhole in the flap part in the place where the button and the opening should meet.

  Step 6

  Slide in your phone! These make great gifts, too, by the way!
