Dia De Los Muertos Calavera Dolls

Made especially for my Day of the Dead cemetery wedding
I bought these paper mache dolls in mexico around Dia de los Muertos. They were plain black and white, without clothing, jewelry or any color for that matter. I used acrylic paint with thin brushes to paint the faces, markers for finer details, scraps of fabric for the clothing and lace trims, feathers and a flower for the head pieces,then I put jewelry and rosaries on them and made them each a bouquet with flowers and feathers, like mine. Very easy to do just be careful painting the eyes and mouth. If you mess up, you can white acrylic paint it out. The small calaca is dressed like I was that beautiful wedding day.
