Daisy Bridal Shower Cakes

Sunny vintage homemade bridal shower cake and cupcakes.
Asked by a neighbour if I would make a cake and cupcakes for her sister's bridal shower I came up with this delicious creation of a lemon pound cake with scrumptious lemon curd and vanilla pound cake cupcakes. The brief was... well.... brief. She wasn't entirely sure what to have. But she said she was doing a vintage kind of tea party so nothing too fancy or elaborate so I thought yellow and white which go with pretty much any colour scheme or theme, which evolved into daisies which she was ecstatic about thank goodness. I made all the daisies myself from flower paste so that they hardened well and wouldn't disintegrated when they sat on the buttercream icing. Made a few extras to test and turned out scrummy mmmmmm
