for the travelling PC gamer
I was commissioned to make a friend a bomb diggity carry case to be the envy of all the other nerds. He used it last weekend and it was a huge hit. Have a dozen commissions if I could ever be bothered making things more than once :D

    Step 3

With the back and straps, I completely removed the back of a charity shop rucksack and sewed it in between the foam and inner layers, with extra stitching around the points where the straps stick out.

    Step 4

Sew all of your sides separately to secure the layers together. I chose to attach all the sides together and then sew to the bottom piece, don't know if doing it the other way would have been better.

  • Step 5

inner pocket for monitor is a sheet of thick card for stability, a layer of craft foam for protection, and then enveloped in the lining material and hand stitched into the front of the bag. If I was to make this again, I would have attached the pocket during the initial construction as it was a devil to stitch in.

    Step 6

Attach zips to the top and lid for a secure fastening, at request, I also added a satchel type fastening that covers the zips by sewing in an extra piece of the outer material when sewing the lid to the body of the bag. straps then placed and measured and sewn on by hand.
